In 1968, Coastal Surveying Company was formed in the Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, area allowing us the opportunity to be on the ground floor for the initial development of local, private resort communities such as Sea Pines Plantation, Palmetto Dunes Resort, Long Cove Club, Wexford Plantation and Indigo Run.

Our Bluffton office is currently playing a leading surveying role in developing the next generation of residential communities such as Oldfield Plantation, The Crescent, Eagle’s Pointe and Buckwalter. These projects have made us one of the most proficient firms in the area with regards to A.L.T.A. surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, closing surveys, elevation certifications, and golf course layout.

We are also well versed in the operations of construction projects regarding surveyor/contractor relations, survey control, grade staking and as-builts. Over the years many of our most loyal clients have been general contractors and are still so today.

While, like any other company, we appreciate a large contract, a major portion of our daily work comes from the private sector. Whether it’s a lot boundary survey, an elevation certificate, or a party owner requesting the recovery of a missing corner, we are always proud to serve the public.
